Savage The Girl Next Door Syrah is a rare and refined red wine from the coastal vineyards of Western Cape, South Africa. Crafted by renowned winemaker Duncan Savage, this wine comes from an exceptionally small 0.38-hectare dry-farmed vineyard in Hout Bay, strongly influenced by the nearby Atlantic Ocean.
Fermented with a portion of whole bunches and aged for 10 months in neutral French oak, it captures the pure expression of coastal terroir. The aroma bursts with violet, black cherry, plum, black olive, and white pepper, all lifted by a subtle sea-breeze salinity.
On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, fresh, and elegant, with fine tannins, bright acidity, and a long mineral finish. This is a Syrah of finesse and precision — a wine that beautifully balances fruit, spice, and coastal freshness.
